Do you like cannabis… and burgers?
Assuming your answer is yes, say hello to Donny Burger! This unique indica strain is a delectable cross of GMO Cookies and Han-Solo Burger that offers a savoury and flavourful experience sure to leave you craving more—just like its juicy counterpart.
If you’re in the mood for a calming high and a deliciously savoury, pungent, and gassy smoke, this strain could be right up your alley. Now, prepare to be grilled with some D. Burger facts—pun absolutely intended!
A Brief History of Donny Burger Strain
Originally bred by Skunk House Genetics, D Burger emerged from the West Coast as a relatively new addition to the family of “burger” strains.
In Canada, you’re likely to find Donny Burger’s unmistakable bud being grown by Fraser Valley Weed Co. in British Columbia’s Fraser Valley. Yes, they’re named after the place, it’s beautiful, and you should totally visit it someday!
Genetics-wise, this high-THC Indica is a cross between Han Solo Burger and GMO Cookies, two of the most sought-after indica strains out there. This lineage basically makes the D Burger strain a nepo baby, but a lovable one, at that.
Best for nighttime use, it combines heightened piney, savoury, and old-school flavours with substantial THC content (21 to 27%) and about 1% CBD. People have come to love it for its calming and psychoactive effects.
Now, let’s take a look at D Burger in more detail!
D. Burger Fraser Valley Strain Profile

Despite being cultivated from two superstars, D. Burger by Fraser Valley unquestionably stands on its own merits. Here’s what you can expect from it:
Appearance:
The Donny Burger strain is just as much of a visual treat as it is a flavour party. With dense green buds and tufts of orange hairs—plus a generous coating of glistening trichomes—we have zero qualms with calling it a looker.
Aroma and Flavours:
According to its producers, Donny Burger is deliciously savoury, pungent and gassy. Most users will probably agree with their “grilled cheese and dark garlic in a bulk bag” analogy, but you may also experience other hints when you try it.
Expect a thick whiff of pine and citrus fresh out of the bag, hints of ammonia, and a rubbery onion finish—let’s just say it’s bold!
Terpene Profile:
Terpenes are the internal stylists that dictate how a cannabis strain looks, smells, and tastes. These are the terpenes you can find in D Burger:
- Beta Caryophyllene (0.960%)
- Limonene (0.540%)
- Beta Myrcene (0.360%)
- Alpha Humulene (0.300%)
- Linalool (0.100%)
- Alpha Pinene (0.050%)

Donny Burger Strain Effects
You know how a great burger makes you feel? Imagine that but better!
Many find that Donny Burger’s high THC levels and diverse terpenes make for a calming and relaxing indica high that’s felt in your body and your head. Whether you’ve had a long day at work, need some help falling asleep at night, or simply want to chill out with your favourite people, this strain could be perfect.
Interestingly, something you’ll notice in more than one D Burger strain review is that it’s been known to soothe joint pain and inflammation. While everyone’s different, older users, athletes, and avid gym rats with sore bodies may experience some extra benefits here!
How the D. Burger Strain Is Grown
This bud is greenhouse-grown in BC’s Fraser Valley by the pros, but you can definitely grow it yourself either indoors or outdoors if you feel so inclined.
Outside, D. Burger prefers warmer temperatures and has a longer growing season that can extend into October. Expect 500 grams per plant. Inside, when grown in small setups, the flowering period ranges from 63-70 days with a yield of 600g/m² if you raise it well (which we have no doubts in our mind that you will).
Beginner growers can give this one a shot assuming they have the space to accommodate the plant’s size. D Burger is bushy and can be 60–120 cm tall, often also growing quite laterally as is typical of indica plants.
A Similar Strain Worth Trying

The D Burger strain is awesome both for its high THC content and distinct flavour profile, but we do have one rather similar friend we’d like you to meet.
Sour OG Cheese offers a pungent, earthy, cheesy flavour with a potent diesel aftertaste, not unlike Donny Burger. Packing up to 27% THC content, you can also expect it to deliver a similarly relaxed, sleepy, and happy high. While they don’t share any genetic lineage, these two strains might just be brothers from another mother.
Our recommendation? Give both a taste test!
